How to Change MySQL Configuration

How to change MySQL configuration

This tutorial will show you how to make changes to MySQL configuration.

Go to AMPPS Control Panel

  • Open AMPPS Control Panel

Open Configuration File

  • Click on Settings button on right side of MySQL

  • Click on Configuration button which appears after you click on the Settings button

  • Click on MySQL.conf and the configuration file will open in a text editor

Make Changes to Configuration File

  • You can make changes in configuration file for example myisam_sort_buffer_size changed from 6M to 8M and save the file

  • After saving configuration file you will see the message "MySQL Configuration Changed" in the AMPPS control center

Restart MySQL

Note :  Do not forget to restart MySQL for the changes to take effect.
